Rajnath Singh to celebrate Dussehra with jawans at border

Home minister Rajnath Singh will celebrate Dussehra and will take part in ‘shastra puja’ (worship of weapons) in Bikaner border. It is the first time that a senior minister of the Central government will conduct the puja along India’s border with Pakistan.

During the event, newly appointed DG of BSF Rajnikant Mishra, RajasthanFrontier IG Anil Paliwal, Bikaner Sector DIG Yashwant Singh, Jodhpur Frontier DIG Ravi Gandhi, among others, will be present.

Official source said Singh will arrive at Bikaner Naal air force base on October 18 for his two-day visit at 4.05pm and will go to BSF headquarters. On October 19, he will visit Satpal BOP and review security arrangement.

He will also address jawans in Sainik Sammelan. In the evening, he will celebrate Dussehra with BSF jawans posted in Bikaner along the Indo-Pak border.  Read More
