- Singh went to the military station at Dinjan in the Dibrugarh district of Assam on Wednesday to check on its operational readiness.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh went to the forward areas at Anini in the Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday and talked to the troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). An official release said that he did an on-the-ground assessment of how ready the country was along the line of Actual Control and took stock of everything to do with security. Singh was with Army Chief General Manoj Pande, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command Lt Gen R P Kalita, and other senior Indian Army officers, said Lt Col A S Walia, a spokesperson for the Defense Ministry in Tezpur.
China is improving its infrastructure along the border, which is when the defence minister went to the front lines. China doesn’t recognise India’s control over Arunachal Pradesh, which it calls part of South Tibet. Singh has been in remote parts of eastern Arunachal Pradesh and Assam since Wednesday for a two-day visit.
Walia said that while he was at the military station in Tezpur, he met with the Gajraj Corps’s General Officer Commanding Lieutenant General D S Rana. Rana told him about the operational situation and readiness of the Gajraj Corps. The Defence spokesperson said that Singh talked to the troops and thanked them for their high level of professionalism and dedication while protecting the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty in spite of bad weather and unfriendly terrain. The release said that in his speech, Singh called the Armed Forces the reason why the country is strong and has confidence in itself.
He said that strengthening India’s military strength has been the Centre’s top priority ever since it took power in 2014. The focus has been on giving the Services state-of-the-art weapons and equipment through a “Aatmanirbhar” defence industry. The release said that the brave decisions made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the brave actions of the Armed Forces have completely changed the way the rest of the world sees the country.
He said that the government’s efforts have led to a strong military that can protect the country from all kinds of threats. He also praised the Armed Forces for making people, especially young people, feel national pride and patriotism. “There was a time when the rest of the world didn’t take India seriously. Because of the work of our Prime Minister, we are now a strong player in the world instead of just an observer.
Everyone in the world now respects the Indian military. The countries that are friendly to us trust them. It is a big reason why India has become such a strong country. “We are now the fifth largest economy in the world, and we are making strong progress,” the defence minister was quoted as saying in the news release. Singh wrote on Twitter, “I went to the front lines in the Dibang valley of Arunachal Pradesh and talked to the troops stationed there.
The people who work for the Indian Armed Forces go above and beyond for their country. The spokesman also said that he left for Delhi in the afternoon. Singh went to the military station at Dinjan in the Dibrugarh district of Assam on Wednesday to check on its operational readiness. This is the most eastern Army formation in the country. He was told about plans to build infrastructure, improve skills, and get ready for operations in Arunachal Pradesh’s forward areas along the Line of Actual Control with China.
