Rossell Wins Contract To Manufacture Wire Harnesses for Boeing’s T-7A Red Hawk

Rossell Techsys of India has been engaged by Boeing to manufacture and deliver wire harnesses for the T-7A Red Hawk. Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) strategic agreement, Rossell will produce Electrical Wiring and Interconnect System (EWIS) parts.

A total of 84 distinct parts will be delivered over the course of FY 2032. Rossell’s initial focus will be on low-rate initial production (LRIP) I and II, as well as full-rate production (FRP) 3 and 4.

“The T-7A, a first-of-its-kind platform built using a digital thread and indigenous manufacturing of its components, is an important step in our commitment to the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision,” said Boeing India supply chain management director Ashwani Bhargava.

“Boeing continues to value and support the development of indigenous aerospace and defence capabilities in India as a company with over seven decades of presence in the country.”

Rossell Techsys also produced EWIS parts for the T-7A Red Hawk’s engineering and manufacturing design (EMD) and flight test (FT) versions. The production will take place at Rossell’s Center of Excellence (CoE), which was created specifically for Boeing.

Rossell has produced over 100,000 EWIS parts for Boeing so far.

“Rossell Techsys has been dedicated to engineering and manufacturing components for the aerospace and defence sector, in India and abroad, for over a decade,” said Rishab Gupta, director of Rossell India.

“It has been helping to build an Aatmanirbhar aerospace and defence ecosystem in the country, and it is poised to grow even more as India becomes a major global aerospace market,” says the company. Rossell Techsys is a testament to this contribution, having built parts for the T-7A wings, forward fuselage, and empennage.”

Boeing was awarded performance-based logistics (PBL) contracts to support South Korea’s three defence platforms’ operational readiness last week.
