Saab To Provide Self-Protection Systems For India’s Dhruv Helicopter

Saab has received a follow-on order from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Integrated Defensive Aids Suite-2 (IDAS-2) self-protection system for the Indian Army’s Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters, the company announced on 8 August.

The order amounts to approximately SEK350 million (USD39 million), with production set to take place at Saab’s facility in Centurion, South Africa. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2019.

IDAS is a fully integrated modular system that is designed to provide electronic warfare (EW) self protection for airborne platforms. Read More
