Search operation in south Kashmir’s Shopian district called off


Faced with a stone-pelting mob, security forces called off a cordon and search operation they had launched in south Kashmir’s Shopian district today, after failing to locate any militants or their hide-outs.

The search operation was launched in Heff village in the Zainapora area, an Army official said.

He said a large number of security forces were involved in the search operation, which started in the early hours today. Read more
