SFs Launch CASO In South Kashmir


Security forces on Wednesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Tral area of south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.

They said personnel of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Koilshikar, Tral, in Pulwama following a tip off about the presence of militants.

Security forces sealed all exit point and launched the operation, they said, adding that some firing shots were heard in the area.

Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed outside the cordoned off area to prevent any demonstrations during the operation which was going on when the reports last came in. (PTI) Read More…
