State looks to have dedicated aviation sector SEZ


Gujarat government is exploring the viability of setting up a dedicated special economic zone (SEZ) for the aviation sector. Bullish on investments in the sector, the state government, in its budget for financial year 2019-20, announced provisions for preparing a feasibility report on the development of an aviation SEZ in Gujarat. A senior state government official confirmed that Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Limited (GUJSAIL) will explore and study the feasibility of setting up an aviation-specific SEZ here.
