Terrorists open fired upon a police party at Sopore bypass in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. As per the latest reports, the area has been cordoned off. No casualties have been reported in the attack. Meanwhile, more details are awaited.
Earlier on Wednesday, terrorists hurled hand grenade at a police post in Watergam area of Sopore district. Giving a befitting reply, the security personnel retaliated with firing and simultaneously launched a search operation in the area.
The incidents came weeks after a CRPF jawan was injured after terrorists hurled grenade on patrol party in Hyderpora area of Budgam district.
Earlier on May 23, six civilians were injured in the grenade attack at Bijbehara town of Anantnag district. Two days later, two policemen and a civilian were injured in a similar attack at a bus stand on Jammu’s BC road. Read More
