Indian Army Wednesday shared a throwback post on social media, narrating the heroic deed of ‘the living legend’ Naib Subedar Bana Singh who captured a crucial post from Pakistan’s claw in Siachen, braving high altitude, extreme cold and treacherous terrain in 1987.
“The Impossible is possible. 26 June 1987
Naib Subedar Bana Singh and his team climbed several hundreds of meters high ice wall and captured Pakistan’s ‘Quaid’ post. Today, that post is known as Bana Post. Awarded Param Vir Chakra,” tweeted the Indian Army in Hindi. Read more
