Three Indians among 207 killed in 8 blasts in Lanka: Sushma

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said in all eight bomb blasts have taken place in Sri Lanka and there were three Indians among the 207 killed on Easter Sunday. ‘There is further update from Colombo.

In all eight bomb blasts have taken place – one more in a guest house in Dehiwela near Colombo and another in a housing colony in Dematagoda in Colombo,’ MS Swaraj said on Twitter. Ms Swaraj said she has just spoken to Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka Tilak Marapana and he confirmed that 207 people were killed in the series of blasts.

‘He confirmed that unfortunately, 207 persons have lost their lives and more than 450 are injured in the terror blasts,’ she wrote. The Minister also said Indian High Commission in Colombo has conveyed that National Hospital has informed them about the death of three Indian nationals.  Read More
