India: Two Terrorists Killed In An Encounter In Baramulla, Kashmir

In the Baramulla district of North Kashmir, there was a fight that killed two terrorists. The fight started at night in the village of Yedipora in the area of Pattan in the district of Baramulla. The police in Jammu and Kashmir said that both of the terrorists were part of the Jaish terror group. Both of the terrorists, police said, were from the area.

“01 more terrorist killed (Total 02). Both of the local terrorists had ties to the banned terrorist group JeM. “There is a search operation going on,” said Vijay Kumar, the ADGP in Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Police had heard that terrorists were in the area, so they started a search and cordon operation, which led to an encounter earlier today. The operation was done by a team made up of people from the police, army, and CRPF.

There was one more operation in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. It is thought that terrorists were able to get away from the area where the operation took place.

“There was a calm after terrorists and security forces started shooting at each other early in the morning in Chitragam village in the Shopian district of South Kashmir,” a Police officer said.

The search is still going on in the area.

Since January of this year, around 158 terrorists have been killed in different operations across the Kashmir valley. Out of the 158 people, 41 were terrorists from Pakistan. In different attacks and operations, 20 soldiers from the security forces have been killed. This year, the number of civilians killed in terror attacks has gone up. Around 21 civilians have been killed this year.
