UK mayor starts petition for Air India Mumbai-Birmingham flight


A regional mayor has launched a petition addressed to Air India and the Government of India calling for the national flag carrier to introduce direct flights between Birmingham and Mumbai.

West Midlands mayor Andy Street CBE, former managing director of British department store John Lewis, together with the West Midlands Combined Authority, launched the petition called, ‘We need a direct flight to Mumbai from Birmingham’ on change.org three days ago.
