According to The Telegraph, a Russian tank roaming in the Donetsk region of Eastern Ukraine ran over two landmines before being destroyed by a Ukrainian missile. The incident occurred last month, and drone footage of it has gone viral.

The second landmine in the video generates tremors throughout the tank. Two crew members somehow escaped the tank unscathed, according to the Telegraph article.

The tank was firing on Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk area. The Russian military is currently bombarding the region nonstop.

Meanwhile, the governor of Severodonetsk in eastern Ukraine reported on Tuesday that Russian soldiers had destroyed a tank carrying nitric acid at a chemical complex they were seeking to take.

Sergiy Gaiday, the governor, stated on Telegram that a Russian air strike “hit a tank storing nitric acid at a chemical industry.” “Nitric acid is hazardous if inhaled, eaten, or comes into contact with skin,” he noted.

“Do not leave your shelter!” Mr. Gaiday explained.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has lasted more than three months. Separatists supported by the Kremlin said on Wednesday that they were closing in on totally encircling the eastern town of Avdiivka after shutting off one of its two main highways.

Avdiivka is an industrial town north of Donetsk, the de-facto capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic, which is controlled by separatists.

Russian troops have been stepping up attacks on Ukraine’s eastern Donbas area, which has seen severe fighting since the start of Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine, in collaboration with pro-Moscow separatists.
