Vistara flight returns after take-off from Hyderabad airport

Passengers traveling in a Vistara airlines flight underwent tense moments after the aircraft returned to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Monday minutes after taking off.

The flight that was bound to New Delhi departed from RGIA after midnight after the aircraft maintenance engineers rectified the technical problem in the engine.

The cabin crew detected a problem in the engine minutes after taking off from the airport and sought permission from the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) for emergency landing.
